YIC Alumni Maryana Takes Home Silver Medal at International Invention Competition

We are proud to announce that our alumni Maryana has won an international award and silver medal at the World Young Inventor Exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The annual WYIE is jointly organized by the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS) and C.I.S and was held concurrently at the 34th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2023) from 11 – 13 May 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.

WYIE aims to provide young inventors with the opportunity to showcase their inventions amongst their peers from all over the world. The organizers encourage young inventors, from all over the world to participate in this prestigious and exciting event.

Maryana’s invention, a solar-powered water purifier, was one of 400 inventions from 91 primary and secondary institutions in Malaysia, as well as seven other countries, that were on display at the exhibition. Her invention was praised by judges for its innovative design and potential to make a positive impact on the environment.
