Youth International Conclave Model United Nations (YICMUN) is an interactive, interdisciplinary simulation which places students in the role of official United Nations delegates. Participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems. YICMUN avails students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in public speaking, negotiation, bargaining, critical thinking, problem solving, lobbying and leadership and helps to build a stronger and diverse networks. YICMUN will focus on areas of peace and conflict resolution that are a part of the day-to-day work of the United Nations.
