Professor Dr. Naveed Yasin is a celebrated British-born and raised international award-winning academic, practitioner, entrepreneur, editor, and author.
Professor Yasin is a (Full) Professor of Entrepreneurship and a highly experienced senior academic in entrepreneurship with a strong focus on design thinking approaches with over 10 years of a demonstrated history of delivering excellence in the education management industry internationally (United Kingdom, Sultanate of Oman, and the United Arab Emirates). Dr. Yasin has worked extensively at renowned institutions in the United Kingdom and abroad in numerous senior roles at the Canadian University Dubai, Abu Dhabi School of Management, University of West London, Muscat University, Manchester Metropolitan University, Plymouth University, and the University of Huddersfield.
Professor Dr. Naveed Yasin graduated with a Master of Science (MSc) in International Business Management and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cross-National Comparative Study in Entrepreneurship from the University of Huddersfield awarded with Distinction (no corrections) and the recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Award for an “Outstanding Research Degree Theses”. Furthermore, Dr. Yasin graduated with a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (Merit) and Master of Arts (MA) in Higher Education with Distinction from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK).
The 2015 prestigious Award winner for the ‘Outstanding All Round Academic Award’ from the Teaching & Learning Institute UK, and Finalist of the Innovation in Education Award in the United Arab Emirates (GESS, 2021). As a gamification expert, Prof. Yasin is an institutional trainer for Edmundo and Master SimVenture and has applied creative practices at all levels of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional short courses to a variety of sectors and industries.
Professor Yasin has also served as a lead Ph.D. external examiner to Cranfield University (UK), University of Pretoria (South Africa), and University of Bradford (UK – Triple Crown Accredited). He has also been developing and delivering courses on the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program and has worked extensively with BABSON (USA) as part of the international consortium for enterprise educators and Stanford University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program (UAE Ministry of Education mandate).
Prof. Yasin is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), International Keynote speaker, Fellow of the National Council of Entrepreneurship in Education (NCEE), Certified CMBE accreditation from the Chartered Association of Business Schools, and CIM Chartered Manager’s Canada (C.MGR.). More recently, Prof. Yasin was awarded the title of Chartered Companion of CMI with the highest status offered by the Chartered Management Institute UK.
