Shafeeq Gigyani is a dedicated development sector practitioner hailing from Peshawar, Pakistan. Armed with a Master’s in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and electronics, he has established himself as a visionary leader in CivicTech and Civil Society management. With a wealth of experience collaborating with governments, NGOs, and startups, Shafeeq has worked at both policy and operational levels, leaving a profound impact on the development landscape.

Throughout his career, Shafeeq has been involved in a multitude of projects that showcase his commitment to driving positive change. As a Consultant at the Digital Rights Foundation, he contributes to research and policy development, while as the Chief Operating Officer of The Enlight Lab, he spearheads the implementation of program-related strategies and outreach initiatives. Shafeeq’s passion for innovation and civic engagement is evident through his contributions to projects like Peshawar Museum App and his mentoring and teaching roles in various educational programs.

An advocate for inclusive opportunities and good governance, Shafeeq actively participates in policy and civic tech engagements, shaping critical initiatives such as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reading Policy and Urban Policy.
